FE fundinfo announces 2023 Alpha Manager Awards nominees

Sixty of the best active fund managers will go head-to-head in May to compete for one of the prestigious Alpha Manager Awards.

The Alpha Manager Awards – run each year by the global leader in investment fund data and technology company FE fundinfo – identify and celebrate the best of fund management across a range of different investment categories. These include awards for Responsible Investment, Absolute Return funds and a range of equity and bond assets across the globe.

Alpha Manager of the Year

Looking to follow-up on his 2022 success story, Anthony Smouha from GAM Asset Management is once again shortlisted for this year’s Alpha Manager of the Year prize and will go head-to-head with John Boselli from Wellington, Julian Fosh and Anthony Cross, who are both from Liontrust, Pascal Dudle for Vontobel and Robin Parbrook from Schroder.

Rising stars

The 2023 awards also recognise a number of rising stars, with five managers competing for the ‘Best New Alpha Manager’ award, which is open for those Alpha Manager who have been rated for the first time this year.

The nominees in this category are: Jonthan Golan from Man GLG, Daniel Pozen from Wellington, Craig Inches from Royal London, Matthew Rees from Legal & General and Guillaume Desqueyroux from Sanlam.
